Farmer/ Owner Yale - M.S. Environmental Management Wesleyan - Environmental Studies Jules' bio reads more like a country song. A kid born in the big city, longing for pickup trucks, dirt roads, and endless fishing. After completing his Masters and working at an NGO for a few years, Jules wanted to make his office the outdoors. Rhode Island offered Jules the opportunity to start an oyster farm, and he's been doing it ever since.
Farmer/ Farm Manager University of Rhode Island - B.S. Aquaculture/ Marine Sciences When Steve showed up to interview for the Farm Manager position three years ago, he was more prepared than any other applicant. Not only did he have all the right gear, he even had a slightly more powerful F-150 than Jules. Needless to say, he got the job.
ALUMNI
Farmer/ Sales & Marketing Rollins College -Economics Last year Steve traded in his stand-up desk, for an office with a far superior view. He says, "The best part of the job is being outside and meeting with chefs."
Farmer/ Upweller Tech Eckerd College This will be Alfredo's second summer working on the farm. In fact it's always summer for Alfredo, because he goes to college in Florida. When it's too hot in Florida, he's back up in RI. Alfredo has a thirst for farming and loves the water. When he isn't working, you can find Alfredo drawing maps or spearfishing.
Farmer/ Maintenance Tech Cranston East Finn is a jack-of-all trades. He can easily kick-flip over a masterpiece he just painted, while explaining the intricacies of growing an oyster, all while landing a nose-blunt slide on a rail he just welded. The kid does it all. If you ever need to find something on the farm, Finns eagle eye will lock onto it. He once caught an octopus on the farm with his bare hands.
Farmer/ Clam Man School One For three years Issac has been working on the farm and is a self proclaimed "Efficiency Expert." Issac is responsible for the four clam beds on the farm. During his youth, he spent one summer too many working in a warehouse and has since longed for (and now has) a fulfilling job outdoors. Once a listless teen, Isaac now spends much of his time on a forthcoming biography.
